When I purchased the bike, Sammy had just left the company they have been in serious trouble ever since. I think now looking at a new bike I will ascertain the strength of their 'rep', and what they are like to deal with. The bearings have since been 'glued' in by the LBS with bearing lock, which is a short term solution as I get led up the garden path by a once great company. Point is that they (IHorse) just do not have the replacement part, or are too lazy to look. Can anyone tell me anything about this bike. So now, I have to BUY the rear end IF they can find one to sell me. I scored an Iron Horse Yakuza Aniki so I can start doing some downhill riding. My LBS reckons that they contact the rep, Kevin, who said that it is not a warranty as it is an area that has common problems and should be solved by regular maintenance. I was happy.īut the resulting vibration has ovalised the bearing joints. The replacement kit seemed to fix the problem in the short term.
It seemed to be made of an inferior metal and no matter what I did, could not fix the movement. took it to a bikeshop only option that would be good is turn it into a single speed. My bike is 9 months old and should still be under warranty.Ībout three months ago I started to get some play in the rear end and had the whole bearing and pivot kit replaced by warranty.
